The beer restaurant “U Zlatého tygra” has kept is democratic tradition on in the after-war times. In its friendly arrangement of interior design (banks along the walls and tables with chairs) the most popular Czech actors and singers were enjoying their time. We could meet Zdenik Štipánek and Václav Bednáo here as well as Jan Werich ad Bohuš Záhorský.

A prestigious Club of Zlatá Praha has reserved the table on the right of the entrance. The professions of its members range from graphic artists and sculptors (Bartoš, Udr?al, Zavadil), surgeons (Prof. Dungl, Petrus), economists (Cígler, Jandera, Jureeka) to the artists and philosophers (I. Mládek, Brada, Stach, Kohák, Dymák). Bohumil Hrabal, writer, was elected the life - long President of Zlatá Praha. His favourite place was back at the table, in front of the door to kitchen.
