Hotel AXA offers comfortable and quiet accommodation as well as sports and relaxation facilities at the heart of Prague.

The hotel offers accommodation in 137 three-star standard rooms, all including satellite TV and private bathrooms equipped with shower (or bath on request). The hotel offers double rooms (double / twin), single, triple and family suites. Four rooms are wheelchair accessible. All rooms are non-smoking. Reception services are available 24 hours a day.

The hotel is ideally situated - only walking several minutes away from Prague's historic center. The guests can near find public indoor  pool, sauna, solarium, or a massage. The hotel restaurant will delight with delicious meals all based on principles of healthy eating.

All 134 rooms are equipped with private bathrooms, colour satelite TV and direct-dial telephones. For your convenience Hotel AXA is just 150 meters from the nearest metro and bus station. The hotel restaurants offer Czech specialities as well as international cuisine.

Guests are also invited to take advantage of our modern fitness facilities in Cardio-Fitness or in a 25 m long indoor heated swimming pool. Enjoy a sauna, massage or the solarium followed by a visit to our cosmetician or hairdresser. Hotel reception provides guests with a foreign exchange service and will be pleased to arrange tours of Prague and other destinations in the Czech Republic. AXA's long tradition, its ideal location and the quality and a range of services it offers, are only some of the hotel's merits.

Hotel AXA, a Functionalist building designed and erected by architect and master builder Václav Pilc in 1930-32, was conceived as a multi-functional entity centred around the sports-oriented Hotel AXA (25-m swimming pool, originally with a diving platform, big and small gym). There were also commercial spaces such as shops (the department store Jepa), restaurants and offices. Rooms were equipped with functional furniture in the Bauhaus style.

The sports concept was developed by the architect's wife, prof. Běla Friedländerová - a top athlete who represented the First Republic of Czechoslovakia in swimming and diving. She led sports and physical education courses, which were mainly intended for women and girls.

Today the heirs and descendants of Pilc and Friedländerová want to build on this tradition of physical and mental balance and health. They would like to welcome you in their hotel, with its public pool and fitness center and the newly opened hotel restaurant, which prepares fine, healthy dishes. In future the owners and staff would like to continue in this direction and develop AXA in its sports character and beyond, in an ecologically sustainable way.

The team of the AXA Restaurant under the supervison of Chef Jan Dlabal offers their gastronomic services to anyone wishing to spend some quality time enjoying delicious and wholesome food. Inspired by various world cuisines, we use traditional and healthy technologies to prepare meals and drinks for you. Next to meat we offer a large selection of vegetarian dishes. We cook from first-class, purely natural products and avoid harmful chemical additives. Our food and drinks will appeal to anyone looking not only for inspired and delightful tastes and aromas but also for wholesome, nutritious meals.

Something from the history of the spa
Implementation spa with a swimming pool 12 x 25 m and 3-meter diving tower (the original reservoir depth from 0.90 to 3.50 meters) is related to the increased popularity of this building type in the 30 20th century, when the pools are increasingly changing the "swim gym" - swimming pools.
Establishment of a hotel swimming bezénu downtown, as well as the replacement once common bath spa showers can be seen as a deliberate move architect and businessman Vaclav Pilc.

Currently, the pool is dedicated to teaching hours, school children and preschool children to the group Exercise - aqua aerobics and the general public
