Welcome to the U Semika Hotel, a family-like hotel in the city centre of Prague, located within the unique historic complex of Vysehrad. It provides one of the most beautiful panoramatic views in historic Europe.

The U Semika Hotel is located in a quiet area near the park of Vysehrad, however, it lies within an easy reach of the most important Prague attractions. The tram stop "Albertov“ is situated just a three-minute walk away from the hotel, the tram stop "Výtoň" just a five-minute walk.

Vysehrad´s origins go back to the 10th century, and its history is older than that one of the Prague Castle. It was here where the Czech history originated. The hotel is located within a renovated building dating back to 1884, and it is the right place for a quiet and romantic vacation - as it lies within an easy reach of the most important Prague attractions - or for a business trip - as it is situated near the Prague Congress Centre. The hotel's name reminds of the legendary horse Semík that saved his master Horymir´s life by jumping from Vysehrad´s fortification walls to the river of Vltava.

Hotel and restaurant U Semika is situated nearby the Cihelna (Prazska) Gate, which is an entrance into the Vysehrad castle complex, the oldest Prague landmark. Vysehrad is a monument of the past, a reminder of the glory as well as the falls of the Bohemian Kingdom, however it also is a peaceful green oasis on the very edge of the historical centre with a breathtaking view over Prague.

We sell sightseeing trips to the historic downtown of Prague and one-day trips to Czech sights as well as panoramatic cruises on the Vltava river.

We provide transportation from and to the airport / station.

Round the clock service of the reception; sale of public transport tickets, ice-cold alcoholic and soft beverages, basic sanitary goods as well as souvenirs at the reception.

Parking: Closed parking lot inside the hotel grounds with a capacity of 12 parking spaces. The parking space has to be booked in advance and the parking fee is 10,- Eur /night .

Courses, trainings: For your business meetings, courses, trainings and like occasions, depending on the number of participants, we can provide space in the hotel restaurant or in the adjacent Gorlice historic hall at Vyšehrad, including technical equipment and refreshments.

The U Semika Hotel offers 28 rooms equipped in a stylish and pleasant manner to its guests to relax - there are double and triple rooms and suites.

Each room consists of a bathroom with a shower, a colour TV set with satellite reception, a telephone set with direct dial, and a hair dryer.

Five rooms are non-smoking.

Among other things, the restaurant represents a pride of our hotel; it is renowned and sought-after for its quality meals and the interesting lay-out of its interior with arched ceilings, stone walls and an original library.

In winter an ambiance is created by the ingle in the fireplace; in summer you are welcome to sit in our quiet garden restaurant shaded with trees and listen to the birds singing, interrupted only by chimes from the nearby St. Peter and Paul Basilica.
