Pension Brezina

We are a 3-star family-run hotel located in the Centre of Prague, a 10 minute walk from the Wenceslas Square and just next to a metro station and tram stops.

We offer cost-effective accommodation in 35 rooms equipped with own bathroom, air conditioning, cable TV, direct dial telephone and also sockets for Internet connection.
A lovely small garden with a fountain hides in the hotel's courtyard.

Breakfast room
Breakfasts are served here between 7:30 and 11:00. The seating capacity is about 40-50 persons.
The dining room can be used as a simple ballroom. Reunions, parties and other functions can take place here.

The PC and internet connection can be provided, we can lend faxes, flipcharts, overhead projectors etc.
Even refreshment and dining can be served here.

Garden
Feel free to sit in the Garden. Especially during summer nights it could be very romantic.
Just buy a bottle of wine, sit with your friend in the garden and look into the illuminated fountain.
The Garden is open only in summer.

Garage
Guests can park their cars in our nearby garage (about 200 m and across the street) or in a guarded parking if available. Our staff can even drive the guest's car to the parking (not guaranteed, only if possible). Guests are asked to leave the car keys at the reception.
The garage can store up to 5 cars of small or medium size (up to the size of the cars like VW Passat, BMW 5, Mercedes E Class, Peugeot 406, Renault Espace etc. The width is the limiting factor). All other (bigger) cars can be parked in a nearby guarded parking.
If garage is requested please note it when booking the accommodation. Especially during high season the garage tends to be full)

Restaurant Legenda
The restaurant is located in the Legerova 39 building, just next to the reception. The opening hours are 10:30 - 23:00, sometimes even later.
The Legenda restaurant runs independently from our hotel.

The Brezina Pension is located in the Legerova street 39 and 41, not far from the Wenceslas square and just a few steps from the I. P. Pavlova square, where the metro and tram stations are.

The Legerova Street is a very good address in Prague being known by all native Praguers and boasting an excellent accessibility by all means of transport (Metro, Tram, Car, Bus, Train, etc.) It is very easy to find our hotel even if you come by car for the first time, as it is set on the route most visitors take when arriving to the town.

Though the hotel lies on a busy street we can assure all our guests that the rooms are very well sound-insulated. Most of the rooms are facing to the garden or to the sky, as many of them are in the attic floor.

Our hotel has 50 rooms which are located in two adjacent houses, the Legerova 39 (left building) and Legerova 41 (right building). They are not all the same.

The basic classification distinguishes 3 categories: Most of rooms (46) belong to the LUX category, only two are of the Tourist class and two of the Economic, where all have own facilities except the latter one (those two rooms share one bath and WC).

Prices vary according to the room category.
Most of the rooms belong to the LUX category.

Yet they are not all the same in spite of bearing the same characteristics:

Own bathroom with shower and WC
Telephone (direct dial)
TV with cable channels in Czech, English, German, etc.
Air conditioning
Free internet connection via LAN (local network) and Wi-Fi in some rooms or modem in all rooms

Guests can choose from double or twin bed rooms. If a room is occupied by three or more persons the extra beds are usually converted foldable chairs. Some rooms are located in the attic, some in the other floors. Many of the attic rooms have slanted ceilings and exposed wooden beams.

There is also a two-room apartment for families with children or for people who know each other and wish to stay close.
Those two bedrooms have one big bath with shower, all behind one entrance. Ask for rooms Nr. 15 and 16.

Businessmen or Internet addicts who bring their laptop computers wishing to surf the Internet or send E-mails should consider booking a room with a LAN connetor (RJ-45) providing a free and unlimited Internet access. In case your laptop does not have a network card you can still use your modem. Modem connection is available in all our rooms.

Conference room

The Brezina Pension offers the Dining Room as a Conference space.

This ballroom can seat up to 30 people in the classroom layout.

The layout of this room is unusual due to its location in the cellar. It has columns and arcades.

The PC and internet connection can be provided, we can lend faxes, flipcharts, overhead projectors etc.

Even refreshment and dining can be served here.

How to get to the Brezina Pension:
Coming by a car
You can stop your car just in front of the hotel. You can leave your car here for the shortest necessary time. Then you can decide if you use our garage (when it is possible we can even drive your car to the garage by ourselves, if you wish) or if you put the car to a nearby guarded parking. We do not recommend leaving the car on the street.

You can arrive from the WEST (from Germany, through the city of PLZEN) or from the NORTH (from Germany or Poland, e.g. from DRESDEN and through the city of MELNIK) or from the SOUTHEAST from Slovakia, Austria, Italy etc. using the E55 road (Highway D1).

From the WEST
Follow the signs "CENTRUM". You will be lead through the western parts of the city, always driving on wider highway-like roads. Finally when you get to the river and across it you get to another bigger street named RESSLOVA, which goes up to the KARLOVO NAMESTI. Then you follow all the other cars going straight up. The same street is named JECNA behind the Karlovo namesti. The Jecna street finishes at the I.P.PAVLOVA square. Here you take the right turn and at the very next crossing left and left again. You find the Pension Brezina just behind the last turn on your left side.

From the NORTH
Follow the signs "CENTRUM". You will be lead through the northern parts of the city, always driving on a wide highway-like road. Then you get to the road, which continues to the city of BRNO. You will pass The State Opera, The National Museum on the left side and The Wenceslas Square (Václavské námestí) on the right side. Then you come to the I.P.PAVLOVA square. You will cross the tram tracks. Behind this square take the first street to the left. And left again. You find the Pension Brezina just behind the last turn on your left side.

From the SOUTHEAST
This is the easiest way. You do not even need a map! You will find the Pension Brezina behind the very first traffic lights in Prague. Just stop on the left side behind these traffic lights. You can't miss it!

Arriving with a train
There are two train stations in Prague. The Main Station (HLAVNÍ NÁDRAZÍ) and the HOLESOVICE Station. But it doesn't matter to which you arrive because they both are on the same metro line (the red C line).
So you take this metro and go to the I.P.PAVLOVA station (it will be either two or five stops).

Here on the I.P.Pavlova you get off the metro. When you are in the top of the station take the left stairs and go to the street. It's the Legerova Street. Our house is on your right hand side if you walk against the cars.
If you plan to take a taxi WATCH OUT. The Prague taxi drivers are cheating. You should not pay more than 100,- Kc. Don't be afraid of disagreeing.
Ve stanici I.P.Pavlova vystoupíte schody ve vestibulu po levé straně a teď už se nacházíte na Legerově ulici. Pension Březina sídlí v domech 39 a 41, které se nacházejí v prvním bloku, směrem proti přijíždějícím autům.
Arriving from the airport
It is cheaper than a taxi and more comfortable than the public transportation. They will take you directly to us.
But if you want to save money, you can use the public transportation. Buy a 26 Kc ticket pro person and take the bus nr. 119 to the DEJVICKA stop. Here change to the metro (subway). Go to the station MUSEUM and change lines here (go to the red C line). Take one stop to the I.P.PAVLOVA station. Here on the I.P.Pavlova you get off the metro. When you are in the top of the station take the left stairs and go to the street. It's the Legerova Street. Our house is on the right side of the street, number 41.
The way from the airport using the minibus or a taxi takes from 30 to 60 min - depends on traffic.
